ASSISTANT HEIGHT SAFETY ENGINEER
Full time – Monday to Friday
COMPANY OVERVIEW
Our client is the UK’s leading provider of lightning and surge protection services. They specialise in design, install and commission bespoke systems as well as providing testing and inspections, repairs, maintenance and upgrades.
They also deliver specialist power earthing solutions to clients in all sectors. The other main area of expertise is electrical testing, encompassing fixed wire and portable appliance testing.
Due to continued success, they are now recruiting for an Assistant Height Safety Engineer covering sites throughout the UK (based out of Sheffield).
JOB PURPOSE
Based out of their Sheffield office, you'll work across the UK in a role that requires physical fitness and a strong commitment to safety. Working at heights is a significant part of this job.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Assist in delivering various working-at-height projects.
Accurately record installation, inspection, and certification details.
Diagnose faults and assist in equipment repairs.
Support team members by maintaining tools and equipment.
Follow method statements, risk assessments, and safety regulations.
Prioritize safety in all tasks.
Communicate professionally with team members, clients, and contractors.
Work effectively as part of the onsite team.
Maintain a professional image with corporate clothing and a clean company van.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Previous construction site experience and comfort working at heights.
Good level of physical fitness due to the hands-on nature of the role.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Team player with a flexible, dynamic approach.
Full valid driving license preferred.
Proficient with small hand tools and battery-operated tools.
