We are seeking a passionate and generalist Chef who will thrive in our growth-oriented, customer-centric environment. If you love cooking, have the right attitude, and believe in creating joy through food, you’ll feel right at home here.
The Role:
As a Chef at Chesfield Downs, you will be at the heart of our event-focused kitchen, delivering high-quality meals for themed events, private functions, and day-to-day service. You will be part of a close-knit team, working with 1.5 other chefs and kitchen staff, under the guidance of our Head Chef. Our kitchen is busy, fun, and driven by a shared passion for great food and outstanding service.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes from set menus for events and daily operations.
Ensuring that all food meets the club’s high standards for taste, presentation, and safety.
Supporting the kitchen team during busy periods, including evening events and holiday functions.
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, following all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Collaborating with team members to create a positive and efficient work environment.
Assisting in the development of new dishes for themed events and special occasions.
About You:

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential.
A team player who loves working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Willing to get food safety certifications (we’ll help)
Has a positive attitude and can bring creativity and energy to the team.
Flexible with working hours, especially during events, with reliable transport (due to our location).
