Cover Supervisor

Location: Ashington

Salary: £95-£120 per day

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Supply or Long-term

Are you passionate about education and looking for an opportunity to step into the classroom? GSL Education Newcastle are currently seeking a Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic school in Ashington.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting students and ensuring the smooth running of the school day. Whether you're looking for supply work or a long-term role, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:

Deliver pre-prepared lessons to students in the absence of the class teacher.

Ensure a calm and focused learning environment.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

Support students with their learning when necessary.

Provide feedback to the regular teacher about the lessons covered.

Assist with any additional school duties as required.

Requirements for a Cover Supervisor:

Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a school setting.

Confidence in managing a classroom and ensuring student engagement.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A commitment to promoting a positive and supportive learning environment.

Availability for immediate start.

Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
