A fantastic opportunity to join a busy IT Department within a leading commercial set of Barristers' Chambers in London. This newly created role will take responsibility of Cyber Security as well as with general IT support (roughly 60/40 split).
This is role is office based in central London.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in technology, Cyber Security, IT or related field.
At least 3 years of experience in cyber security role.
Excellent knowledge of: Server and Desktop systems (including the latest OS for Windows and Mac).
Network Systems and Protocols.
Security product and solutions (SentinelOne, Crowdstrike, M365 and Tenable Nessus).
Network security concepts and technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, web application firewalls etc.).
Azure Cloud Security
Cybersecurity principles, best practices, and industry requirements and frameworks (e.g. NIST CSF, ISO 27001, PCI DSS Mitre Attack and Defend).
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, both as part of a team and independently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including technical and non-technical colleagues of all levels.
Strong documentation skills. You will be expected to maintain up to date security documentation.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues and analyse data to identify potential threats and root cause.
Respond promptly to security incidents and provide thorough post-event analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance and monitoring of network and devices, including security patching and vulnerability management.
Contribute to information security policies and procedures, including business continuity and disaster recovery.
Provide hands-on expertise in cloud-based technologies with a focus on security, performance, and scalability.
In coordination with HR and IT, design information security training for employees to meet all security requirement and cybersecurity threats
Perform risk assessments for the company and critical business components as it relates to information security threats and risks.
Provide analysis and review of current security solutions, make recommendations for any changes to environment.
Perform review of reports provided by security partners.
Support the adoption of security technologies into Chamber’s ecosystem.
Provide support and guidance, as well as implementation of industry best practices in cyber security.
Assist the IT team with support, including out of hours support rota (1 week in 4).
Collaborate with internal technical experts and external industry groups to address complex technical challenges.
Develop, test and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company policy, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Tune, configure and optimize security tools to defend against new tactics, techniques, and procedures.
Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, and recommend appropriate security controls and countermeasures.
