Our defence client is currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in complex enclosure design!
You'll play a crucial role in our projects by designing bespoke electrical systems. Your responsibilities will include creating advanced electrical schematics, optimizing system performance, defining detailed requirements, and documenting designs accurately.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop advanced electrical schematicsAnalyse and optimise electrical systems to ensure performance and efficiencyGenerate detailed requirements for electrical systems, laying the foundation for exceptional designsCapture and document electrical schematics and designs with precision and accuracySelect the most suitable cables and protective devices, ensuring the highest level of safety and reliabilityProvide expert advice and review on electrical component selection, contributing to the success of every projectCollaborate seamlessly with our engineering and project teams, working together to achieve outstanding resultsEmbrace a variety of engineering tasks that support projects and programs, showcasing your adaptability and versatilityParticipate in internal and external meetings, contributing your insights to shape the future of our businessMaintain thorough and organised documentation, following our local operating proceduresExperience needed:
A minimum of HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, demonstrating your strong education backgroundA team player mentality, thriving in a collaborative and supportive work environmentPrevious involvement in specifying electrical components, highlighting your eye for detail and critical thinkingSound knowledge of Electrical standards, ensuring compliance with industry best practicesProficiency in MS Office allowing you to excel in various tasks.A rapid learner with a flexible and adaptable engineering approach, ready to tackle diverse challenges related to electrical designFamiliarity with electrical schematic capture and drawing review, displaying your comprehensive understanding of the design processDesirable:
Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment would be advantageousExperience in the Naval / Maritime domain would be advantageous.Knowledge of electronics, enhancing your ability to innovate and explore new possibilitiesExperience in designing Electrical systems, demonstrating your expertise in complex and high-stakes projectsProven experience using Zuken E3, showcasing your expertise with recognised design tool.
