Ellinis Interiors Ltd is seeking an experienced soft furnishings Technician with excellent curtain and blind making experience, in a professional capacity.

Due to continuing expansion, Ellinis Interiors Ltd is now looking to hire an experienced Curtain Maker on a full-time basis, working on site at their busy London premises.

This company manufactures soft furnishings for high-end residential and commercial clients working with many of the UK’s top interior designers.

The successful candidate must also have excellent hands-on experience of creating and making soft furnishings themselves, specifically curtains and blinds. A minimum of 3 years’ professional experience is desired but we are happy to train for those with the skills! Their in-house manufacturing team is very important to the business and the person who joins them must have a positive warm approach and be able to keep a cool, calm head during the busier times, with a hands-on approach in the workroom.

About you...

Minimum 3 years senior sewing experience, both hand and machine
Comfortable with helping to manage the work flow within a busy professional workroom
Excellent communication skills
Exceptional eye for detail
Quality control experience
Leads by example

Key responsibilities include...

Working closely with the Company Director and Management to ensure the smooth transition of orders and workflow through the business
Making all manner of Soft Furnishings (training will be provided in The Ellinis Interiors Methods)
Ordering workroom components and logging their delivery
Assist with recording the deliveries of new fabric into the workroom and allocating it to the correct projects
The Occasional site visit where manual stitching is required
