ABC Minicoaches is a well-established transportation company operating a fleet of PSV vehicles ranging from minibuses to 37-seaters, including wheelchair-accessible vehicles. With a focus on safety, quality, and reliability, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service to our clients. We're currently expanding our team and seeking a skilled Workshop Mechanic to maintain and service our fleet.

Job Summary:

As a Workshop Mechanic at ABC Minicoaches, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of our fleet of vehicles. This role requires a strong focus on ensuring our PSV vehicles are safe, compliant, and ready for the road. You will work closely with the operations team to ensure minimal downtime and deliver efficient and high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGV/PSV vehicles, including minibuses and coaches. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and provide timely solutions. Perform preventative maintenance to minimise vehicle breakdowns. Carry out MOT preparations, brake tests, and ensure all vehicles meet VOSA standards. Keep accurate records of all maintenance work and repairs carried out. Ensure that all vehicles meet safety and compliance regulations (PSV, VOSA). Liaise with the operations team to schedule repairs and maintenance without affecting service delivery. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment. Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide roadside assistance when needed. Requirements:

Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably within the PSV, HGV, or automotive sector. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Full UK driving license (HGV/PCV license preferred but not essential). Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required. What We Offer:
