I retired in June 2016 after teaching primary aged children for 32 years and have been successfully tutoring since then. Previously, when I tutored face to face, I offered tutoring in Torrance, Bishopbriggs, Kirkintilloch, Stepps, Lenzie, Bearsden and Milngavie areas. Since Covid started, I have been tutoring using zoom. My families have found my zoom sessions just as productive and helpful as when I tutored face to face. Please see below for feedback from parents of children I have tutored both face to face and using zoom.
I am conscientious, organised and extremely hard working. I am reliable and will dedicate myself to helping your children to realise their full potential. I have taught in a variety of schools in both country and city environments. I have taught all stages
Pr1-7 and was depute head with responsibility for Pr4-7 for 17 years.
I meet firstly with you and your child to build up an understanding of all relevant information (this will be on zoom and free). This first meeting will give me a chance to have a chat with your child to put them at ease, allow a rapport to develop and help your child to feel relaxed.
I am particularly skilled in building confidence and a strong feeling of self worth in the children I have worked with. I work with the children in a structured way to build up knowledge and understanding. I email sheets/activities to be printed so that both your child and I have the same materials infront of us.
* My rate is £35 per hour.
