About me:
My name is Elle and I am an enthusiastic tutor with a keen interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects. I have a 1st class Honours degree in Biology from the University of Glasgow, as well as a research doctorate (PhD) in microbiology. My passion has always been in engaging with students and making science more accessible for all. I believe teaching and learning should be student-centered and I am very happy to tailor my approach to each individual student’s needs. Whether your session takes place in person or online, it will be interactive and personalised to you!

11 - 18 tutoring
I have experience teaching within the undergraduate university environment, as well as a proven track record tutoring students. I have experience with the Curriculum for Excellence and also offer specific exam preparation-focused sessions.

Primary school tutoring
Working with children and developing their skills and confidence from a young age is extremely important to me. With a focus on empowering younger students to become curious, independent learners, I will work with you to find a specific approach to tutoring that works for your child.

Coursework/thesis support
I offer both proof-reading and feedback services on coursework for both secondary school and university students. If you need some advice, or want input on your work ahead of submission, I will happily assess your coursework/thesis and arrange a call with you to discuss any feedback.
