Hi, my name is Jeanette McClellan and I'm based in Broxburn, West Lothian, having retired early after a 38-year career as a senior nurse in the NHS to pursue other ventures. I have written many articles for the nursing press, delivered training, presented at conferences and have published a nursing textbook as well as contributing to another. I have delivered sessions at four Scottish Universities, predominantly for student nurses. I have also recently co-authored journal articles in sustainability related to business management
My work now includes proof-reading and creative writing, and I also support people with study skills such as time management and how to structure essays. Having spent the last few years proof reading for several students (some of whom have dyslexia) undertaking graduate & post-graduate studies, I progressed other short / medium term proof reading and writing projects and I undertook some proof reading / editing training to assist my own skills development.
These are the main services I can offer at present:
• Proof reading – essays / academic assignments from single essays to PhD theses and post-doctoral studies
• Proof reading – articles, blogs, short reports etc. (*excluding charts / illustrations at present)
All prices and commissions are negotiable when we have a clear plan of what help you are looking for and what my role will be; I offer in-document proof reading using Microsoft Office documents – this is my preferred method. Terms: £10 deposit on booking, balance to be paid on completion.
Please note: I will be honest if it is something beyond my scope and offer alternative suggestions. And please do not ask me to ghost write your thesis, that is not what I offer at all.
