I'm Alexandra, I provide online tutoring services covering GCSE Science, A level Chemistry and Biology with 13 years’ experience and an outstanding track record.
I provide a study plan for all students when tuition commences to ensure students cover the content of the entire syllabus. Students are also assessed on every area of the syllabus to ensure any gaps are addressed and exam technique perfected.

All of my students also have me 'on call' and can message me any time to request help with a topic, I'll phone or send voice messages to assist as soon as I'm able - you are not charged for this time.

My tutoring style pushes students, with a focus on moving outside of their comfort zone to have the greatest possible impact. I'm keen on setting target hours each week to ensure students are spending quality time studying and determining revision schedules to ensure students are organised and on top of their workload. This approach pushes students to achieve the best grade they are capable of.

Online tuition is provided on Bramble, an online platform designed for teaching. Students will receive an email following each lesson including all notes made during the session. Sessions are also recorded and students are able to access a library containing all previous sessions for review and revision. I am more than happy for parents/carers to sit in on these sessions if they wish to and would encourage them to do so. I am also available to speak to parents/carers via telephone if they wish to do so.

Rate - £40 per hour
Students are not charged for for work I do for students outside of sessions. I am happy to take phone calls from students outside of sessions if they need immediate help at no extra fee.

My undergraduate degree is in Biology with a large amount of my work being Chemistry based.
My masters degree is also Biology with a focus on cellular and molecular Biology with organic chemistry. During my research I worked on Methanotrophic Protein isolation via HIS tag system.
I hold a PGCE In secondary science teaching Chemistry and have taught Both A-level and GCSE in a classroom.
I also completed A-Levels in Chemistry, Biology and Applied Science.
